The CinePearl Take
Lead newcomer Yuki Tanaka delivers a quietly explosive performance as the disillusioned heir returning to his hometown, making the series’ emotional core feel authentic. The pacing is deliberately measured, allowing the tension between duty and desire to simmer rather than explode. Themes of legacy, corruption, and redemption are explored with a subtlety that rewards attentive viewing, even as the plot occasionally drifts into melodrama.
