The CinePearl Take
Tim van Dammen’s direction keeps the pacing snappy, never letting a gag linger too long while still allowing the story to breathe. Rose Matafeo steals the spotlight with her razor‑sharp timing, especially in the “Kauri‑Coded” episode where her deadpan delivery shines. Paul Williams’ writing balances slapstick with a surprisingly tender look at bureaucratic incompetence, making the series feel both ridiculous and oddly relatable.
