Why Watch This
The 2012 UK remake of Pusher drops you into a gritty, rain‑slick London underworld where a low‑level dealer’s desperate scramble to stay afloat spirals into violence. It’s a compact, high‑tension thriller that leans on raw performances and a relentless, claustrophobic pace.
Best For
Crime fans, British cinema lovers, Dark humor enthusiasts, Fans of gritty street dramas, Fans of Nicolas Winding Refn’s style
The CinePearl Take
Richard Coyle’s portrayal of the beleaguered dealer Frank is the film’s anchor, delivering a mix of swagger and vulnerability that keeps you invested in his fate. Luis Prieto’s direction maintains a tight, pulse‑pounding rhythm, but at times the story feels over‑reliant on genre clichés. The supporting cast—especially Mem Ferda’s menacing antagonist—adds texture, making the London underbelly feel palpably dangerous.
