The CinePearl Take

Fehner crafts a claustrophobic atmosphere that mirrors the inmates’ internal confinement, while the pacing lingers long enough to let each character’s silence speak. Reda Kateb delivers a hauntingly restrained performance, embodying a man caught between aggression and vulnerability. The film’s muted color palette and sparse score amplify the sense of isolation, making the occasional bursts of dialogue feel all the more impactful.
