The CinePearl Take
Scott Mann’s direction keeps the pace ticking, but the script often leans on genre clichés. Ving Rhames steals the spotlight with a gritty, world‑weary performance that grounds the chaos. Scott Adkins showcases his trademark precision in the hand‑to‑hand set pieces, making the tournament’s combat sequences the film’s strongest asset. While the plot is thin, the relentless action makes it a worthwhile adrenaline fix.
