The CinePearl Take
Devgn anchors the film with a ferocious yet nuanced Tanhaji, balancing raw physicality with moments of quiet resolve. Saif Ali Khan shines as the charismatic antagonist, injecting a sly intelligence that elevates the conflict beyond a simple good‑vs‑evil trope. Raut’s direction keeps the pacing brisk, though the mid‑film exposition occasionally stalls the momentum. The film’s visual palette and authentic set pieces immerse viewers in a period rarely explored on the big screen.
